About this box

Sugar Plum is a Christmas flower arrangement in a round box, white or silver. Deep red roses and red spray roses fill most of it, with a few soft pink roses, magenta stock, antique green hydrangea, silver fir sprigs and clusters of ilex berries.

Set it in the middle of a holiday table or on the console by the front door. As a gift it suits the person who hosts the family every Christmas: the flowers arrive ready to stand, so nobody has to hunt for a vase in a full kitchen.

The pink roses keep all that red from looking heavy. Ilex berries and the pale hydrangea sit between the rose heads, and the silver fir brings a little of the tree's scent indoors. Lean in and you will catch the stock too, spicy and close to clove.

If you want red roses without greenery or berries, see 50 or 75 roses in a round box. For something hand-tied in warmer peach and red, there is a Christmas bouquet with orange roses and red berries.

Sugar Plum comes in one size. Ilex berries are decorative and not edible, so keep the box away from small children and pets. We make Sugar Plum for the Christmas season only.

Will it look exactly like the photo?

Very close. Every bouquet is arranged by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Flowers are seasonal and availability can vary. If a flower isn’t available, we replace it with one of equal or greater value, keeping the color palette, style and beauty of the arrangement. Want to see it before it goes out? Check “Send me a photo of the bouquet before delivery” in your bag.

What if the recipient isn’t home?

We always try to hand the bouquet over in person. If there’s a safe spot (by the door, or with a concierge), we leave the bouquet there and take a photo. If there’s nowhere safe to leave it, we call the recipient using the number in your delivery instructions, and if they don’t answer, we contact you.

If we can’t reach either of you, we bring the bouquet back to the shop and hold it until the end of pickup hours the next day: pick it up at 6201 Hollywood Blvd or book a redelivery. Need it handed over in person? Say so in the delivery instructions and include the recipient’s phone number.

How do I care for it?

Some flowers last longer than others. Flowers don’t like heat, direct sun or sudden temperature changes, and each order comes with a packet of flower food.

Bouquets in a vase: mix the flower food into the water, trim ½ inch off the stems at an angle, change the water every 2 days, and keep them away from direct sun, heaters, AC vents and fruit.

Flowers in a box: add a little water to the foam every day so it never dries out, and keep the box in a cool spot out of direct sun.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Flowers and delivery date can be changed until 6 AM on the delivery day, when we buy the flowers for your order. The address and card message can be changed until the order is handed to our driver, usually after 12 PM. We email you when that happens.

Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund. After that the flowers have already been bought, so the order can’t be canceled. For Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and other peak days, changes to the flowers or the date and cancellations close at 6 AM three days before delivery. To make a change, call or text (323) 493-1514. How much is delivery?

Free within 2 miles of our Hollywood Blvd shop; beyond that it’s $7–$45 depending on distance, up to 30 miles. Check your ZIP code above for an estimate. The exact fee for the street address appears at checkout, before you pay. Pickup at the shop is always free.
