Refund policy

Freshness Promise & Refund Policy

In short

  • Flowers are perishable, so we don’t accept returns for a change of mind.
  • If something’s wrong, tell us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup and send a photo. You choose: a new bouquet or a full refund. Either way, our driver collects the original bouquet.
  • Flowers are seasonal. If a flower isn’t available, our florist replaces it with one of equal or greater value, as close as possible in color and style.
  • Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund. For peak days, changes and cancellations close 3 days earlier.

1. Our freshness promise

Every bouquet is arranged on the day of delivery or pickup from flowers bought that morning, and comes with flower food and care tips. We don’t stock flowers for the week, so they don’t wait in a cooler for days before reaching you. If your bouquet arrives damaged, wilted or different from what you ordered, we’ll make it right as described below.

2. If something is wrong

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup by text at (323) 493-1514 or by email at info@cherryblossomla.com, and include:

  • your order number;
  • photos of the whole bouquet and close-ups of the problem;
  • a short description of what’s wrong.

Either the sender or the recipient can contact us. We review every request and usually reply the same day. We can’t accept requests made more than 24 hours after delivery or pickup, because after that the condition of flowers depends on care and conditions after delivery.

3. Your choice: a new bouquet or a refund

If we confirm a problem covered by this policy, the person who placed the order chooses one of the following:

  • a new bouquet, made and delivered free of charge to the same address on the next available date; or
  • a full refund of what you paid for the order, including delivery, to your original payment method.

Please take your photos first. After that you may put the flowers in water as described in our care tips, but keep the bouquet, its wrapping and the card until we reply. If glass is broken, photograph it and dispose of it safely. In either case, the original bouquet must be returned to us, whatever its condition; our driver will collect it at a time we agree with you, and a replacement or refund is given once it’s collected. This lets us see the problem ourselves. If the original bouquet is no longer available, we can’t confirm the problem, and we may decline the request or, at our discretion, offer a partial credit.

To the extent permitted by law, a replacement or refund is our only obligation for a problem with the quality of an order. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under law.

4. What’s covered and what isn’t

Covered: a bouquet that arrives damaged, wilted or not fresh; a different product, size or color palette from the one ordered (beyond the substitutions described in section 5); a paid item missing from the order.

If only a gift or another add-on is missing or damaged and the flowers themselves are fine, we deliver that item or refund its price. The rest of the order isn’t affected.

Not covered:

  • natural differences from the website photo — every bouquet is handmade, and the photos show an example;
  • substitutions made as described in section 5;
  • flowers delivered in bud that open over the following days;
  • changes that appear after 24 hours, or that are caused by heat, direct sun, lack of water or other conditions after delivery or pickup;
  • loss, theft or damage after delivery, including after a bouquet is left in a safe spot as described in our Delivery & Pickup Policy;
  • delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete details, a refused delivery or an unavailable recipient;
  • a change of mind.

5. Substitutions and natural variation

Flowers are a seasonal, natural product. We buy them fresh every morning, and what’s available changes from day to day. Even the same flower is never quite the same twice: one day the hydrangeas are large and full, the next day the freshest ones may be smaller. Our florists always choose the freshest flowers available on the day, even if they look a little different from the photo.

If a flower in your arrangement isn’t available, or isn’t fresh enough to use, our florist replaces it with a flower of equal or greater value, as close as possible in color and style, so that the arrangement stays as close as possible to the photo. A substitution never lowers the value of your order. The same applies to vases, boxes, ribbons and wrapping.

Substitutions are made by our florists on the day, without contacting you first, so that your order can be prepared and delivered on time. They are more likely around major floral holidays, when demand is highest. A substitution or natural variation made as described here is not a defect and is not grounds for a refund. We can’t guarantee a specific flower variety, shade or size.

6. Changing your order

  • Flowers, product and delivery date: until 6 AM on the delivery day, when we buy the flowers for your order.
  • Delivery address and card message: until your order is handed to our driver, usually after 12 PM on the delivery day. You’ll get an email when your order is on its way; after that, the card is already printed and the address can’t be changed. For pickup orders, the card message can be changed until we email you that your order is ready. You can also edit your card message in your account until then.

Changes depend on availability. If you change the product, we charge or refund the difference in price. If you change the address to one that is farther away, we may charge the difference in delivery fee; if the new address is closer, the delivery fee stays the same. To make a change, call or text (323) 493-1514. For your security, we confirm address changes using the phone number or email in your order.

7. Canceling your order

Cancel before 6 AM on the delivery day for a full refund, including the delivery fee. For example, for a Friday delivery you can cancel until 6 AM on Friday. After 6 AM the flowers for your order have been bought, so the order can’t be canceled or refunded.

To cancel, text (323) 493-1514 or email info@cherryblossomla.com with your order number. Your cancellation counts at the time you send it (Pacific Time), even if we read it later. Phone calls count only if we answer before 6 AM.

This rule is about canceling because your plans changed. If we can’t deliver your order on the date you chose for reasons on our side, you choose: delivery on the next available date at no extra cost, or a full refund.

8. Peak days

Our peak days are Valentine’s Day (February 14), Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve (December 31), and any other date we announce on our website in advance. To have enough flowers for these days, we reserve part of them in advance. For orders scheduled for a peak day, changes and cancellations close at 6 AM three days before the delivery date. For example, for delivery on February 14, the last moment to change or cancel is 6 AM on February 11. Orders for a peak day placed after that moment can’t be canceled. Only the delivery address and card message can still be changed, as described in section 6.

9. How refunds work

Refunds go to your original payment method. We issue them as soon as a refund is approved; your bank may take 5–10 business days to show it. We refund the amount you actually paid, after discounts.

CB Points used on a canceled or refunded order are returned to your account as points. Single-use discount codes aren’t reissued, except when we cancel an order ourselves. Canceled and refunded orders don’t earn CB Points, and points already added for them are removed.

10. Vases and gifts

Many bouquets come with a free glass vase; each size shows “Vase included” or “Needs a vase.” Larger bouquets, such as 50 or more roses, and our extra-long-stem roses need a bigger vase, which you can add for $20. Without one, they arrive wrapped. Gifts can also be added to an order and are shown in your bag and at checkout before you pay.

Vases and gifts are final sale. If one arrives damaged or isn’t what you ordered, tell us within 24 hours of delivery or pickup with a photo, and we’ll replace it or refund it as described in section 3.

11. Please contact us first

Most problems can be solved the same day. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. If a dispute is opened, we’ll provide the bank with our order records, including delivery photos.
