Privacy Policy
In short
- We collect what we need to take your order, deliver your flowers and run our shop.
- We use trusted service providers for this; below we explain what kinds and why.
- We don’t sell your personal information for money. You can turn off visit recording in “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, and opt out of anything else by email.
- Recipient details and card messages are used only to deliver your order, and we keep the sender’s name confidential.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Luxqr Inc., doing business as Cherry Blossom Flowers, 6201 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028 (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit cherryblossomla.com, contact us or place an order.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact and account details — name, email, phone number, billing address; if you sign in with Google, the name and email from your Google account.
- Order details — products, delivery or pickup date and time, delivery address and instructions, card message, notes for our florist, photo requests, and the recipient’s name, address and phone number.
- CB Points — points history and, if you add it, your birthday (month and day).
- Messages — what you write to us in the website chat, by email, text or phone, including your name and any email or phone you leave.
- Email sign-up — your email and marketing preferences.
Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed, items in your bag and how you interact with the Site, through cookies and similar technologies (section 5).
Payment information is collected and processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We don’t receive your full card number.
3. How we use it
- to take, prepare, deliver and support your orders, including calling or texting the recipient to arrange delivery;
- to answer your questions in chat, by email, text or phone;
- to run your account and CB Points, and send you gifts and codes;
- to send emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- to understand how the Site is used and improve it;
- to protect the Site and our customers from fraud, spam and bots;
- to keep records and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations;
- if we advertise, to show and measure our ads.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers that help us run our shop. Some of them, such as Shopify, Google and Meta, may also use information under their own privacy policies — for example, to provide and improve their services. We don’t list every provider by name because we may change them over time; the kinds of providers we use are:
- our e-commerce platform, Shopify — online store, checkout, customer accounts and payments (including Shop Pay). Shopify’s own privacy policy also applies;
- payment processors — to process your payment;
- apps that help us run the store — for example, delivery-date scheduling, order printing and sign-up forms;
- cloud hosting and security providers — run our chat, rewards and sign-up services, store chat messages and CB Points records, and check that forms are used by people, not bots;
- the messaging app our team uses — website chat messages, order questions and card message changes are forwarded to our team there so a florist can reply;
- email delivery services — send our emails;
- sign-in providers — Google, if you choose to sign in with Google;
- analytics providers — help us understand how the Site is used (section 5);
- advertising and measurement partners — such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), whose tools on our Site measure visits and, when we advertise, help show our ads (section 5);
- our drivers — receive only what they need to deliver an order.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. If you’d like to know which providers we use at a given time, email us.
5. Cookies, analytics, session recording and chat
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your bag and account working, remember your choices, protect forms from bots and understand how the Site is used.
Visit recording. We use an analytics tool that records how visitors interact with the Site, such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movements and pages viewed, and can replay these interactions as session recordings. When you first visit, we show a notice about this, and recording starts only after the notice appears and you continue using the Site. By continuing, you agree to it. We set the tool to hide what you type into forms and the chat, and we use this information only to improve the Site. You can turn visit recording off at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We don’t record visits from Europe or from browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Website chat. When you use our chat, your messages, the name and contact details you give, and the page you’re on are saved and shared with our florist team so we can reply. By using the chat, you agree to this.
Advertising. Our Site uses advertising and measurement tools from partners such as Google and Meta. They may use cookies and similar technologies to measure visits and, when we advertise, to show our ads on other sites and apps and measure them. These partners and our analytics providers may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. Under California law, this may be considered “sharing” for targeted advertising. To opt out, email us; when we advertise, we’ll also add an advertising switch to “Cookie settings”.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some parts of the Site, such as the bag, may then not work.
6. Recipients, senders and card messages
When you send flowers to someone, you give us their name, address and phone number. We use them only to deliver and support your order — for example, to contact the recipient about the delivery or to handle a complaint — and to keep the records we need. We never add recipients to our mailing lists or send them marketing.
We keep the sender’s identity confidential. If a recipient asks who sent the flowers, we don’t tell them unless your name is in the card message, you confirm by email that we may share it, or the law or someone’s safety requires it.
Card messages are read only by our team to prepare your order and are never used for marketing. Please share a recipient’s details only if you have their permission.
7. Emails and texts
Marketing emails are sent only if you sign up, for example through our 10% welcome offer. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
We don’t send bulk or automated marketing texts. We text only: the bouquet photo you asked for; replies in a conversation you started with us; messages needed to deliver your order; and, occasionally, a personal thank-you code from one of our florists to a customer who has ordered from us. Reply STOP or tell us in any other way, and we’ll stop texting you.
We don’t share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
8. How long we keep it
- Orders and related records — as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes, generally up to 7 years.
- Delivery photos — up to 30 days, or until a complaint or payment dispute about the order is resolved, if that is later.
- Account and CB Points — while your account is open; points history is kept while points are active and for up to 12 months after they expire.
- Website chat — deleted 5 days after the last message, including the copy forwarded to our team. Anything we agree in chat about your order, such as a new time or address, is copied into your order record first.
- Gift codes — until the code is used or expires, then up to 30 days.
- Marketing emails — until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics and visit recordings — under our analytics providers’ settings, generally no longer than 13 months.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it or to delete it, and you can opt out of marketing at any time. Some information we must keep, for example order records for tax purposes. You can update your details in your account or email us. We’ll verify your request by confirming your email or phone, and you may use an authorized agent. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
California residents. We are not currently required to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act, but we voluntarily honor the rights it gives: to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We don’t sell personal information for money and don’t knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16. We don’t use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. To make a request or opt out, email info@cherryblossomla.com; we respond within 45 days.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don’t record your visits and treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing. Our Site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
Shine the Light. We don’t share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
10. Children
Our Site is not intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
11. Security
We use reputable providers and limit access to personal information to people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant, we’ll also tell you by a notice on the Site or by email.
