A white lily bouquet of about nine stems of white lilies with their long green leaves, wrapped in paper and delivered in a glass vase. Every stem carries open flowers and several closed green buds.
White lilies are a traditional flower for sympathy and funerals. They also suit a thank-you or a housewarming, where a tall, leafy bouquet looks generous.
The scent is noticeable but not heavy, enough to fill a room without taking it over. The buds open one after another over the coming days, so the bouquet keeps adding flowers after it arrives. Most of these lilies have pollen: pinch off the orange anthers as each flower opens, and the pollen won't stain the petals, a tablecloth or a sleeve.
Lilies are dangerous for cats. Every part of the plant, the pollen and even the vase water can cause kidney failure in a cat, so please send them only to a home without cats.
For more white flowers, browse our sympathy flowers, or see a cloud of white baby's breath for something lighter. The lily bouquet is sold in one size, about nine stems, with the vase included.
