Sweet Candies is a pink roses and tulips arrangement in a round pink or white box: pink and ivory roses, pink spray roses, pink double tulips, bright pink mini carnations and a little white hydrangea.
It is bright and playful, good for a birthday or a romantic surprise that should feel fun.
The double tulips arrive as fat, closed buds and open into full cups that look a little like peonies. Tulips keep growing after they are cut, so within a day or two they lift above the roses and lean toward the light, and the box changes shape a little. The mini carnations scatter small, ruffled spots of hot pink between the larger heads, and the ivory roses keep the mix from turning too sugary. Small heads of hydrangea fill in at the back.
For pink with white, see pink and white roses with carnations. A softer, more muted pink is in mauve roses with lisianthus and statice.
Each size, from Classic to Grand, uses the same candy palette.
