Autumn Sunflowers is a sunflower bouquet in fall colors, wrapped in paper with a ribbon and delivered in a glass vase. Large sunflowers sit in front of deep red and dusty pink roses, pink dahlias, small orange spray roses and spikes of purple snapdragon.
It works for an autumn birthday. It also cheers up someone who is getting better after a hard week: big yellow faces read as good news from across the room. We carry sunflowers and dahlias all year, so the same mix is there in any month.
Our florist keeps the sunflowers low and toward the front, where their dark centers face out, and lets the snapdragons and dark leaves rise behind them. The red roses and pink dahlias bridge the bright yellow and the purple. Snapdragon spikes open from the bottom florets upward, so the purple keeps climbing in the days after delivery.
For sunflowers with a blue and purple contrast, see sunflowers with irises and purple stock; for the dahlias and roses alone, there is a wine and blush dahlia bouquet.
It is made in Classic and Signature, with the same flowers in each, and both sizes come with the vase.
